You're living a pretty little lie there. Yes you, the one reading this right now. No don't look around! Focus now, I want to tell you a story and I want you to actually listen to me. Try not to leave in the middle of reading this, it's rather rude to simply leave, go somewhere and come back later only to forget where you left off and make me start my story over again. Now, pay attention because there are some important topics we need to cover before we start our story.

People go to movies about vampires and werewolves to pretend things are real that they believe are not. Then when the movie is over they go back to believing these things aren't real when in truth they are. Vampires and werewolves are real, along with a few other things but they won't be in this story so we won't talk about them. They live among us, live like us and have lives like us. Most do not drink human blood or harm humans in any way so there is nothing to fear because there are few left in the world, most live in one city in Canada; they prefer the cold and cloudy to the warm and sunny any day.

They live by rules, three simple ones actually. One: Do not draw attention to yourself or give away your existence. Two: Do not harm the humans in any way. Three: Never fall in love with a human. Simple enough rules yes? Okay, remember them because they will be referred to later on and it would be rude if you had to flip back to here just to remember 3 simple rules.

Now, another thing, vampires are not stupid weaklings who run from sun and crosses. They are strong and almost unable to die. Though they do age they do not seem to for the longest time. They seem to age one human year every ten thousand years or so in appearance but never has a vampire died of old age. The only creature able to kill a vampire is a werewolf, though Slayers have been known to kill one or two every hundred years or so. Their skin is flawless, colorless and cool to the touch, like an animated corpse, which is exactly what they are.

Werewolves are also no weaklings. They do not fear silver and cannot be killed easily either. Their body temperature is extremely hot and they heal almost instantly if wounded. They also have 3 forms, their humans form, their wolf form then their werewolf form. Their wolven forms look according to their human forms, length of their hair, overall build and such. They are usually tall and lanky but other builds have been known. Also you can't be changed into a werewolf by anything but a pure bred werewolf with nothing but wolf blood in their system. A werewolf could trace their linage back 20 generations and hit a human and they couldn't be called a purebred. Purebreds are the werewolves that can trace their history back to the dire wolves of lore. There are only a few of those left.

Now there is one or two more things you need to know. Vampires and werewolves are almost extinct, to much fighting in the end so they made a truce and eventually became friends, they got used to the smell of each other. All the werewolves and vampires live in a city located in Canada. There is town in the high Arctic where the majority of them live because it's hard for them to go out during the day so they live where it's constant night. A band of vampires and werewolves joined together, calling themselves the sevens, the last purebreds alive and they are who keep everyone in line and enforce the rules.

But of course not everyone wants to be ruled over by a group of uptight purebreds so some broke off into traveling packs that hang in the outskirts, still following the rules but not taking orders. They live in the town, interact but serve no one, unlike the others who follow under one of the sevens. You'll find everyone in Peccadillo, a medium sized city on an island somewhere between Nunuvut and the Northwest Territories.

Who will you be?

A vampire, a blood drinker who only comes out at night unless their strong and have a lapis lazuli ring. A werewolf, a tall, amazingly strong creature with the power to kill anything in sight but holds back. A human, the unsuspecting towns folk who interact with the night animals without knowing. Or a rouge, trying to destroy the peace...
